Renée Chin - Owner
Hi I’m Renée, and I am a skin specialist with 19 years of international experience, working as a beauty therapist and managing top spas in both London and Auckland. I started Beauty By Renée with the intention of creating a private space, where clients could come for their beauty and wellbeing needs, and trust that they were in the hands of someone who placed care and professionalism as top priorities. I take a bespoke approach and each treatment is curated specifically for a client’s individual needs.
My skin journey started at 16, when I suffered from terrible cystic acne. I went on medication to help battle it and although it helped, the harshness of it led to a whole bunch of other issues, like severe dryness and sensitivity, which I then had to deal with.
It wasn’t until I was studying at Elite International, New Zealand’s premier beauty academy, that I began to understand all the intricacies and workings of the skin, and realised that all the products I thought were helping my skin were in fact making it worse.
This taught me the importance of educating clients about their skin and using professional, results-based skincare. I believe in treating the skin holistically, not only topically but also internally, and taking onboard all the factors that contribute to wrecking havoc on the skin.
I feel extremely blessed to have found my passion, and what I love about beauty therapy is it’s something that I continuously get to learn from - no day is the same and no skin is the same.
